This is MSCP 1.1 (Marcel's Simple Chess Program)

Release 1.1 is mostly about fixing some
long standing but annoying errors in MSCP 1.0.

The main features still stand. It is a complete
chess program, it is tiny and, hopefully, easy
to understand the code.

MSCP has about 2000 lines of C code.
MSCP has an opening book of about 2000 moves.
MSCP should even run nice on 64kB machines.

I'm open for improvement proposals, as long
as they keep the MSCP spirit: small and simple.

Since 1.0, MSCP has played a stunnnig 80000
blitz games on the free internet chess server FICS
(freechess.org). It works fine with robofics 1.4.6
and xboard 4.0.7 now.

I put MSCP 1.1 under GPL (see the file COPYING).
The main reason for this is that I found MSCP 1.0
somewhere on a popular chess ftp server as a
windows/dos EXE file or whatever. Without book,
source or references. I did not like that, so
it is GPL now.
